The Location of My Hometown
My hometown is called ChengDe, which is a beautiful city located in northern HeBei province of China. As you can see from the map on the top, China is a very huge country, which has 9,600,000 square kilometers land. HeBei is a province in the northeast of China. The map on the left is a map of HeBei province. And the pink part of the map, which is on the very north of the province, shows my hometown. My hometown is very close to BeiJing, which is the capital city of China. It is only 3 three hours drive from my hometown to BeiJing.

The History of My Hometown
My hometown ChengDe is a very famous old town in Chinese history. You will learn my hometown�s name if you learn the history of China. It has a wonderful and dramatic history. My hometown used to be a very small village and there was hardly anybody knew its name. However, during Qing period in China, the King called KangXi went to my hometown for a vacation. And he started to love this beautiful village with a lot of lacks and mountains. Thus, he finally decided to build a huge garden in my hometown. The whole construction took about 100 years to finish. This fantastic and huge garden in my hometown is the largest garden in the whole country. There are a lot of Kings went to this garden for summer vacation. Also, there are a lot of famous historical events happened in my hometown. After that, my hometown started to become more and more famous. And right now this garden is very well perfected by the government of China. There are a lot of travelers go there every year. The pictures on the bottom show the famous garden in my hometown. I love my hometown a lot.
